Four households met in January 2018 and began to plan, design, and construct an urban, inter-generational co-housing community in Oak Park, Illinois. The core of committed members has now expanded to ten households with the goal of reaching 15 committed families which will initiate the second phase of site selection, planning, and design. The group features members from different professional, social, and ethnic backgrounds and ages ranging from 15 months old to over 60 years-old and meets monthly as a group, and separately as working committees to consturct the membership, architectural, legal, and financial structures needed to build the co-housing facility and community.
