Coho/US welcomes new board members
Your board is delighted to welcome three new members.
David Entin is a retired college educator, last serving as vice president for academic affairs of Holyoke Community College. He has a PhD in sociology and master's degrees in history and public administration. His first career was in anti-poverty and civil rights work, starting in the South in the 1960s. He and his wife Dorothy have lived at Rocky Hill Cohousing in Northampton, MA since May 2005. He enjoys movies, reading, traveling, small group discussions and personal sharing, politics, cross country skiing, and swimming. David is the National Community Liaison, connecting with communities throughout the country.
Diane Margolis’s first job was editing the Polk Award-winning Brooklyn Heights Press. She has been a professor of sociology at the University of Connecticut and has published several articles and two books. Now retired from teaching, she continues to write and has taken up painting. She and her husband, Dick, had two sons who married and are now the fathers of their four grandchildren. After Dick died, friends and family set up an award to support journalists early in their careers. In addition to spending time with friends and family, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, swimming, x-country skiing and going to one meeting after another at Cambridge Cohousing. Diane serves as the assistant board treasurer.
Terri Furman lives in Broomfield, CO with her husband and a golden-doodle. They have two sons in college, two adult step-children, and two grandsons. Her interests and hobbies include skiing, hiking, travel, reading, movies and socializing with family and friends. Terri is the Director of Sales and Marketing for Wonderland Hill Development Company. Given the background she brings to the Coho/US board position, Terri hopes to “help broaden and sharpen the communication of the board’s mission/vision and the wonderful story of life in a cohousing community.”
