Two homes for rent at Elderberry Village and Potluck Farm
Elderberry and Potluck Farm are adjacent communities in Rougemont, NC, a rural town about 30 minutes north of Durham. The two communities share a common house, and over 100 acres of hiking trails (woods and streams). Potluck farm is a 26-year-old inter-generational community with homes on large lots. Elderberry is a new adult co-housing community with smaller, attached homes.
Home #1: A new 700 square foot home at Elderberry. One bedroom with large closet, open living and dining space, small kitchen with dishwasher and nice pantry, large windows... sweet little house! On the edge of the community near parking, lovely view out the back. We would prefer to rent this home on a long-term lease, but are also willing to sell it if not rented soon. Pets permitted (dogs must be leashed except when hiking in the woods, and must not be barkers; cats must be indoors). $800 per month plus low utilities.
Home #2: a 20-year-old 1300 square foot home at Potluck Farm. Three bedrooms, one bathroom, large kitchen and dining space. Living room with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and wood stove.. Partial furnished (couch, dining table, buffet, queen bed). Two large porches (one screened) with front views of pasture and barn, and rear views of woods and a lovely stream. Has washer and dryer, but no dishwasher, very small bathroom (shower only), limited closet space. No cats; a single dog might be permitted. $800 per month plus utilities (older home with higher utility bills).
