Washington Commons Cohousing
West Sacramento

Washington Commons is looking for members to join in the adventure of creating a cohousing community close to the heart of California’s Capital. We recently held a successful Kick Off Workshop with cohousing expert, Katie McCamant. We've closed on our site and the group is growing fast - now is the time to join!

Our Vision
We’re a group of enthusiastic community members working to advance a walkable, urban, multistory project just across the Sacramento River from Downtown Sacramento. Our goal is to create a strong community open to all ages with a blend of privacy and community for those working, recreating, and wishing to live in the Downtown core. Early participation in our community will give members an opportunity to help shape the character of the community and the design of our project, as well as discounts on home price and seniority in home selection.

About Washington Commons
Our project site is in the historic Washington neighborhood just north of the Tower Bridge, two blocks from the river, trails, and parkways. The neighborhood is part of an exciting, emerging riverfront district on both sides of the river. With just a short walk or bike ride across the bridge from the site, you can easily access Downtown Sacramento, Old Sacramento, the State Capitol, and numerous museums including the Crocker Art Museum, restaurants and event venues such as the new Golden 1 NBA arena.

On the West Sacramento side of the river you’ll find:
* Walking/biking trails along the Sacramento river and parks
* Triple A Baseball Raley Field
* New event venue The Barn
* A lovely community garden
* West Sacramento Community Center
* All in addition to shops and restaurants within walking distance

Now is the time to join!
We have land under contract and expect to begin the architectural design process soon. We are working with national cohousing expert, Kathryn McCamant of CoHousing Solutions, which means our project is receiving professional guidance.

Come meet with us and explore becoming a member of our community! As a member you will help us shape our community and project. Joining early comes with perks such as receiving discounts on home price and securing home selection seniority. Check our website (www.Washington-Commons.org) for more details and to check out our upcoming events.
