Note: Contrary to what one might expect in a building called the Common House, A3 enjoys privacy and quiet. Other units deal with neighbors above or below. Not so on the Common House upper level. The building was designed for maximum levels of sound absorption and isolation. Common walls are 2 separate walls, each with 2 layers of drywall, insulation and an air space between. Similarly, the ceiling joists of the main level are separate from the system of insulated floor joists above, with 12” of air space between. The main level is typically used only 10 to 15 hrs in a week for various gatherings. Woodard Lane also has a Common House policy that 9pm is quiet time and only with the agreement of the upper 2 units can activity below run past 9 o’clock pm.
